This morning before work I thought I would take a walk along Redhead Beach! It's such a beautiful day with the sun shining brightly and as you can see by my photos the colours of the sand look amazing against the blue sky and ocean. I only wished I could have zoomed in to show you the whales and dolphins that were providing entertainment to everyone who was there. But don't worry, the whales were there yesterday and you'll be able to see them regularly as they migrate north for the winter.
Redhead Beach is at the northern end of a nine mile stretch of coastline, is with the Lake Macquarie Shire and is known for its stunning cliffs, rocky outcrops and shark tower, pictured here. Redhead Beach is patrolled in the warmer months and is home to the Redhead Surf Life Saving Club which has a function room and kiosk. This spot is really popular any time of the year and one worth visiting again and again. So, what are you waiting for?
